IVECO BUS E-WAY H2 wins Busplaner “International Sustainability Award 2024”
The "International Sustainability Award 2024" was granted to the E-WAY H2 by Busplaner magazine in Germany, in the “Hydrogen-powered buses: 12 m” category.
Vénissieux /April 24, 2024 /IVECO BUS - Last month, the E-WAY H2 received the "International Sustainability Award 2024" in the 12-metre hydrogen-powered buses category by Busplaner magazine.
The prize, awarded by an independent expert jury consisting of well-known personalities from the business world, associations and media, honours companies in the bus industry which contribute to sustainable and responsible growth through their economic, social and environmental commitment.
The E-WAY H2 generates no greenhouse gases, providing a sustainable and environmentally friendly, carbon-free mobility solution for urban Missions.
The E-WAY H2 is a hybrid vehicle equipped with a hydrogen fuel cell supplied by Hyundai, a pioneer and leader in hydrogen technology. The fuel cell is housed in the rear compartment and powered by
4 hydrogen tanks located on the roof. The vehicle also features a 69-kWh NMC battery developed in-house by FPT Industrial and a 310-kW SIEMENS ELFA 3 electric motor.
The E-WAY H2 features a new electric Vehicle Control Platform (eVeCoP) software, developed in-house to optimise the hydrogen power split strategy and reach the highest performance.
The vehicle can accommodate up to 100 passengers on board according to local regulations. It provides excellent thermal comfort with a CO2 heat pump with optimized airflow distribution. The vehicle has a range of up to 450 km under normal operating conditions.
The E-WAY H2 integrates a rear-view vision system as well as the new ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) devices, complying with the GSR (General Safety Regulation) regulation ahead of its coming into force in July 2024.
In addition to providing electric mobility solutions through its Energy Mobility Solutions division,
