Singapore requires drones to be equipped with digital drone licenses
Broadcast Remote Identification System is also called drone digital license plate
The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore plans to require all unmanned aerial vehicles weighing more than 250 grams to be equipped with a broadcast remote identification system, also known as a drone digital license plate, from December 1 next year to enhance aviation and public safety.
"FlyItSafe" is an application launched by the Civil Aviation Authority to help drone operators ensure that drones fly within permitted areas and avoid accidentally entering no-fly zones.
The broadcast remote identification system, also known as a drone digital license plate, uses wireless networks and Bluetooth technology to transmit information such as the location and serial number of the drone and the location of the drone operator, so that drones in the sky can be identified to ensure safety. The United States and the European Union have successively implemented relevant measures on drones.
