Q&A on Bitsensing
Bitsensing, one leading ITS company in Korea.
We recently sat down with Euichul Kim, Vice President of Intelligent Transportation Systems at bitsensing, to discuss the products and solutions of Bitsensing, as well as its future plan.
Core Products and Solutions of Bitsensing
Bitsensing is a radar development company. We are very proud of our automated radar technology. We started from the automotive industry. From last two years, we extend our business to infrastructure for ITS, so our product is a combination of the camera, radar and GPU to apply the AI solution for the product. Based on that is we get the accurate data from real traffic data. As the data accumulates, we operate the AI model to optimize the traffic signal in the city. That's our solution currently. We have received two times for our CS innovation award.
Perspectives About Cooperation Opportunities like Companies in AP Region
The autonomous era or the smart city and the digital twins for smart city will become. So how to connect it with the current? So based on the data, we can make a digital twin to optimize the smart city for the traffic. So that's the one way. It gives some value to the driver or the autonomous vehicle on the safety and efficiency, while enabling connectivity across smart city ecosystems – the core of our vision.
Future Plans
I'm not sure but tomorrow actually, I'm not sure but tomorrow, but we are over step by step. So there are three things.
We have to develop the technology continues or not, and we have already done it.
So the second thing is, we want to demonstrate our product and solution in any way in the global.
For the city we did it like in the the Verona city in Europe, Italy for optimizing the urban traffic management. We did that in Verona city and put it on highways.
We only installed our device, 120 devices across 81 km in Korea. It gives good feedback from customer and shareholders. So I hope to extend these kind of things worldwide. I'm not sure exactly for future, but for the smart city, we pull the step by step now, I can say.
